Hello
I am using on my MacBook 10.6.8 ImageJ Version 1.47q Often I just want to use it to emphasize some screenshots. So I paste the screenshot from clipboard to ImageJ, make a selection and press CMD+D for Draw. Now I select all and I want to copy the screenshot WITH my drawn selection to the clipboard. But: only the original screenshot is copied, not my selection. How can I combine my drawn selection with the screenshot? Why isn’t it copied when I press CMD+A (for select all) and CMD+C (for copy)? Thank you frank -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |

Hi Frank,
You can use the Plugins > Utilities > Capture Image command, that will create an RGB flattened version of you annotated image. Because you're a mac user, you could also use the builtin mac "shift-ctrl-cmd-4" shortcut and paste to a new image or other software. Jerome. Hi Jerome,
thank you. So with the Plugin I can capture to another, new ImageJ Window, but not directly into the Clipboard. And it doesn’t work anyway, because in the new window now I select all and copy it, but I have the copy without selection in my clipboard. Anyway it is a bit “far away”, not very handy. The Mac Screenshot System is working, this was what I used till now, but I thought a sophisticated app like ImageJ, MUST have a fast and exact way to get this basic command. The thing is, that with the mac screenshot, I need to cut carefully and very exact, to create a very exact Screenshot, looking not semi-professional. With SHIFT+CTRL+CMD+4 and SPACE unfortunately I get the whole window with the menu of ImageJ, which doesn’t look professional neither. No plugin for this maybe? frank Am 21.05.2013 um 11:40 schrieb Jerome Mutterer: > Hi Frank, > > You can use the Plugins > Utilities > Capture Image command, that will > create an RGB flattened version of you annotated image. > > Because you're a mac user, you could also use the builtin mac > "shift-ctrl-cmd-4" shortcut and paste to a new image or other > software. > > Jerome. > > > On 21 May 2013 11:28, Frank Walter <[hidden email]> wrote: >> Hello >> >> I am using on my MacBook 10.6.8 ImageJ Version 1.47q >> Often I just want to use it to emphasize some screenshots. >> >> Thank you >> >> frank >> >> -- >> ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html > > -- > ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html ... Hi Frank,
you should use "Edit > Copy to System" to make the current selection (inlcuding everything you've drawn using Cmd-D) available to applications outside ImageJ/Fiji. Good heavens!
This easy it is! Thank you very much, Jan! I immediately created a shortcut (Y) for 'Copy to System', so now it is very fast: 1. cmd+V (paste) 2. make my selection with rectangle tool etc. 3. cmd+D (draw) 4. shift+Y (copy to system) fast and easy, thanks :) frank Am 21.05.2013 um 12:20 schrieb Jan Eglinger: > Hi Frank, > > you should use "Edit > Copy to System" to make the current selection > (inlcuding everything you've drawn using Cmd-D) available to > applications outside ImageJ/Fiji. > > Hth, > Jan > > > On 21.05.2013 12:11 PM, Frank Walter wrote: >> Hi Jerome, >> >> thank you. >> >> No plugin for this maybe? >> >> frank >> >> >> >> >> Am 21.05.2013 um 11:40 schrieb Jerome Mutterer: >> >>> Hi Frank, >>> >>> You can use the Plugins > Utilities > Capture Image command, that will >>> create an RGB flattened version of you annotated image. >>> >>> Because you're a mac user, you could also use the builtin mac >>> "shift-ctrl-cmd-4" shortcut and paste to a new image or other >>> software. >>> >>> Jerome. >>> >>> >>> On 21 May 2013 11:28, Frank Walter <[hidden email]> wrote: >>>> Hello >>>> >>>> I am using on my MacBook 10.6.8 ImageJ Version 1.47q >>>> Often I just want to use it to emphasize some screenshots. >>>> >>>> Thank you >>>> >>>> frank > > -- > ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html ... Hi Frank,
You can use Plugins --> Utilities --> Capture Image to duplicate both the screenshot and the selection which can be copied to the clipboard in a conventional manner. -Jeremy On 5/21/2013 5:28 AM, Frank Walter wrote: > Hello > > I am using on my MacBook 10.6.8 ImageJ Version 1.47q > Often I just want to use it to emphasize some screenshots. > > Thank you > > frank > > -- > ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html ... Hi Frank,
if you want to copy to the system clipboard (for use in other programs), you have to use Edit>Copy to System Michael ________________________________________________________________ On 5/21/2013 5:28 AM, Frank Walter wrote: > Hello > > I am using on my MacBook 10.6.8 ImageJ Version 1.47q > Often I just want to use it to emphasize some screenshots. > > Thank you > > frank -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |
