Maximum Entropy Threshold Plug-in Question

Dear ImageJ Enthusiasts,

 

When thresholding using Maximum Entropy Threshold plug-in, if I do not
Ctrl+Shift+T threshold (1-255, 8-bit) after using the plugin, I will get
drastically different results.

 

When redirecting, if I Ctrl+Shift+T (1-255, 8-bit), values I expect will
come out (in my case, in 12-bit).  However, if I don't Ctrl+Shift+T,
even when redirecting values are 8-bit (and in many cases 0).

 

Can someone explain this to me?
