Measure Thickness and Roughness of coating on Substrate

Hello Everybody!

I am a new user of image j and dont know how or if it is possible to measure a thickness of a coating. Is there any makro?

I am also looking for a makro to measure the roughness. I found a makro, but there is no description what it is measuring. Is it possible to mark the coating and the substrate? Is it also possible making the parameters visible on the image?

I have to do analysis on heaps of pictures, so it would be great if anybody can helb me.
