Measure fold depth on ultrasound pictures

Dear all

I am very new to Imagej and have a measurement problem as well.

I would like to measure the skin fold depth on a series of ultrasound pictures like these:






Is there an algorithm for such a task? I cannot define a reference skin area to measure the depth. Would it be advisable to use the angle tool and define a triangle (see picture 1)? Is there a macro to use the angle tool to draw 1 cm lines on both sides of the angle? Or is the area under the curve a better way to go?
Do you have an idea how to measure the skin fold depth from these pictures?

Are there any plugins in Imagej to speed up this process?  I’ll need to measure about 200 ultrasound pictures.

I would greatly appreciate any help.
