Measure the spindle number of a mitotic cell

Hi everyone,

I want to measure the number of spindles from a projected image which generated from the maximal projection of a set of alpha-tubulin z section. I had tried the "skeleton" plug in, but it seems not working for me. Do you have any suggestions in measuring this kind of images? By the way, the raw data of z section is also available for measurement.
