I am trying to find an accurate method to measure the perimeter. The function under Analyze Particles/Set Measurements is not sufficient for my purposes. Is there another method or macro that has been developed for this purpose. My project involves analyzing SEM images of micro-scale polyethylene particles. Generally they are amorphous, rod or circular in shape. The reason that the built-in function doesn't seem to work is that the particles have jagged borders and the outlines for the particles don't always show up completely when I use Analyze Particles. Thanks in advance for your help.
