Measuring fluorescence intensity along a curved selection

Jeff Hardin
Dear Imagers,

I should know where to find this, but I can't seem to. I would like to trace out a non-straight line selection, and get pixel intensity as a function of unit of arc length. Does anyone know of a plugin that does this, or could someone point me to the built-in functionality that allows this?

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

The "path writer" plugin may help.

Hi Jeff,

Analyze>Plot Profile also works with freehand lines or segmented lines (splined or not; double click on the line tool).
As an alternative, you can also use Edit>Selection>Straighten.

It won't work with closed curves (Polygon tool).
