Hi Everyone,
If you're planning to attend the upcoming Biophysical Society meeting
in Baltimore, please come and see the Micro-Manager demonstration in
booth #368 in the Exhibition Hall! We're going to be demonstrating
Micro-Manager 1.4's new features using an ASI RAMM (Rapid Automated
Modular Microscope).
Micro-Manager (
http://micro-manager.org) is an open source software
package for microscope image acquisition. It controls a large number
of microscopes (from ASI, Leica, Nikon, Olympus and Zeiss), scientific
grade cameras, and peripherals and lets you take snapshots,
time-lapses, z-stacks, and multi-channel images. It runs as an ImageJ
plugin and works under Windows, Mac and Linux. Micro-Manager is being
developed at Ron Vale's lab at UCSF supported by a grant from the NIH.
Of course, our main goal is to meet you, hear about your experiences
with Micro-Manager, your wishes for future development and everything
else you would like to tell us. We also hope to give you personal
hands-on training in the use of Micro-Manager.
Best regards,
Nico Stuurman and Arthur Edelstein
