Moving to Wakad: Which Schools Would You Recommend?

We are moving to Wakad soon and trying to find the right school for our child. There are so many options that it is getting confusing. Every school says it has experienced teachers and a safe campus, but it is hard to know what daily life is really like. So we would love to hear from parents already living in Wakad, Tathawade, or nearby areas.

Here is what we are looking for in schools in Wakad:

• A good ICSE or similar board with focus on understanding, not just memorizing
• Caring teachers who give personal attention
• A clean, safe, and child-friendly campus
• A reasonable commute from Wakad, ideally without heavy traffic
• Sports, arts, and activities along with academics
• Early learning or play school options, since we also have a younger child and are searching for a good daycare preschool near me

During our search, we came across Ashwini International School in Tathawade, which is a short distance from Wakad. It follows the ICSE board and seems to offer a balance of academics and co-curricular activities. It is located at 58/1, Behind Indira College, Near Ganga Cypress, Tathawade, Pune-411033. We have not visited yet, so we would love to know if any parents here have experience with it or with other ICSE schools in Wakad.

A few questions for everyone:

1. Which schools in Wakad or nearby would you recommend, and why?
2. How is the daily commute from Wakad to Tathawade during school hours?
3. What should we ask during a campus visit?
4. Is it better to choose a school closer to home or one with a stronger reputation?

Any honest suggestions, good or bad, would really help us. Thank you in advance!
