Muscle cross section

Pedro J CamelloDr Pedro J Camello
Hi all,

I would like to know if somebody in the list has performed morphological
measurements (area, perimeter) of skeletal muscle cross sections. Cells
are in close contact each other, so threshold --> watershed --> particle
analysis does not give good results. It would be of great help if
someone with a similar task can share the experience.

Thanks in advance

AW: Muscle cross section

Dr. Yoo-Jin Kim
Hi,
See http://www-cvpr.iai.uni-bonn.de/pub/pub/brox_pp177 for an image analysis
approach for muscle fibre measurements. The proposed algorithm was designed
for H&E-stained muscle fibre specimens. We are currently working on a method
for measurements on ATPase "stained" slides.
Cheers, Yoo-Jin
