My Neighbor’s Massive Truck Is Crushing My Beautiful Hydrangeas!

Hi everyone,

I need some quick neighborly advice regarding a frustrating driveway situation. The guy living right next door to me recently purchased an absolutely gargantuan, lifted pickup truck.

 It’s so incredibly wide that whenever he backs into his driveway, his massive rear tires roll directly onto my lawn, completely flattening my newly planted hydrangea bushes.

I’ve tried putting up small reflective boundary stakes, but he just knocks them over. I want to maintain a peaceful relationship, but my garden is getting destroyed. How do I approach him without starting a suburban war?

That is an incredibly frustrating situation to deal with on your own property! Truck culture is huge right now, but it shouldn't come at the absolute expense of your beautiful landscaping or personal space.

Instead of a direct confrontation, maybe approach him casually next weekend and offer to help guide him back so he can see exactly where his blind spots are.
