Dear Bioimaging colleagues,
We would like to let you know that the deadline for registration for the NEUBIAS2020 Bioimage Analysis Symposium (15-17th of February in Lisbon) has been prolonged till December 23rd. This is also the last call to submit your abstract for an oral short talk. There are about 12 slots for selected abstracts, grab the opportunity to show you work in Lisbon. Submissions for posters will still be possible until mid-January. NEUBIAS2020 has been designed to give a unique opportunity to connect and foster collaborations between the four pillars of the Bioimaging Analysis Community: Life Scientists, Bioimage Analysts, Developers (of Image Analysis and/or Bioimage Analysis tools) and Instrumentation Specialists. NEUBIAS2020 also specifically aims to provide Life Scientists with new opportunities to tackle their Image Analysis challenges by interacting directly with tools providers, developers and experts in Bioimage Analysis workflows, with specific and new interactive sessions. Here, we provide new details about the program and, in particular, two of the signatures of NEUBIAS2020: NEW: Open Software Lounge. The Open Software Lounge is proposed to showcase open software tools for BioImage Analysis and enable a direct exchange between users and creators/experts of software solutions. Here, in a digital poster format, new solutions and features will be discussed in the most direct way. The current list of featured software packages and tools includes so far: ImageJ (incl. Fiji, IJ2), Icy, CellProfiler, Ilastik, KNIME, ClearVolume, Catmaid, Super resolution analysis tools (e.g. SR-Tessler), Multicellular Tissue Analysis tools (MorphodynamX, BioEmergences web service & open software platform), Screening tools (e.g. Mineotaur), and more to come. NEW: Call for Help session. The Call for Help session is another signature session of NEUBIAS2020. The idea is to create a forum, where difficult problems are presented, and best practices for tackling these problems are generated together with the Analysts and Developers present at the conference. Here, from today, we are soliciting problems and case studies from Analysts and Life scientists to present them to a broader audience, and to foster the development of new solutions to solve these problems. The format will offer problem-submitters to have their project/data adopted by a senior person in the field as a point of contact and caretaker towards finding solutions. This is your opportunity to get your question tackled. If you are interested in presenting your data problem at the NEUBIAS2020 Symposium, please register through the preinquiry form, with the link below (after registering to the symposium) https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScPxdwQGVINPRwVPW9D1vtEeCdn60Cc0OIVveE6TaUv5WMGDA/viewform#start=openform Finally, please find the link to Symposium abstract submission here: http://eubias.org/NEUBIAS/neubias2020-conference/symposium2017-lisbon/symposium-lisbon-15-17-feb/abstract-submission-form/ the link to symposium registration here: http://eubias.org/NEUBIAS/neubias2020-conference/symposium2017-lisbon/symposium-lisbon-15-17-feb/registration-abstract-submission/ and the current version of the scientific program here: http://eubias.org/NEUBIAS/neubias2020-conference/symposium2017-lisbon/symposium-lisbon-15-17-feb/programme/ We look forward to seeing many of you in Lisbon for our annual event Best greetings, on behalf of all organizers, Sebastian Munck and Arne Sietz, NEUBIAS 2020 scientific organizers Gaby Martins, Host and Local organizer Julien, NEUBIAS Chair -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |
