Navigating the Costs of Importing Tech to SA

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking into ordering some high-end computer components from a retailer in the United States to upgrade my home office in Johannesburg.

While the international prices look much cheaper than our local retailers, I am getting a bit nervous about the final bill once it clears customs.

I really need to get a better handle on the south africa import tax rates for electronic goods before I hit the checkout button.

Has anyone here brought in PC parts or similar tech recently? I’m curious if the courier handles everything or if I need to deal with the paperwork myself.
