New Windows launcher (ImageJ.exe)

Wayne Rasband
George Silva has contributed an amazing new launcher (ImageJ.exe) for
Windows that allows you to do things with ImageJ that were previously
not possible. With it, you can:

   - Open images, LUTs and ROIs by double clicking
   - Open images and run macros from the command line
   - Automatically detect and use the latest Java
   - Set the memory limit to 2/3 available RAM
   - Open files by dragging and dropping on the ImageJ icon

More information is on the "News" page

Stack registration, please help!

Elena Kardash
Dear LIST,

If some of you knows, please help: how to register two stacks?

I have two stacks of images, obtained from two different channels. There is a
shift
between the two. I am using the turboreg plugin, which works nicely to align
two images
but I was unsuccessful to align two stacks.

I tryed to register two stacks using a batch command, which did not work , as
it will
register one stack using as a target the first frame of the second stack. When
I tryed the
StackReg plugin it will only deal with one of the stacks at once.

The only way I can do it at the moment is to split the stacks to individual
images and then
to align them one by one, which is time consuming. To speed it up using the
macro did
not work either as the macro will stop after the  run("TurboReg "); command,
so I have to
activate the registration process manually.

 Any ideas ? It's a nightmare!!

Thanks a lot in advance
Elena
