Offset location when creating multipoint selections in zoomed images

MrScientistman2
Dear mailing list,

When I make multipoints in an image the points appear excactely where I click the mouse. However, when I zoom in the image, and then make some additional multipoints, the points are

offset from where I click the mouse. Some weird observations: The first point created is in the correct location, but not the next ones. Also, if I pan to the top left or bottom right the points are created in the correct location. If I pan to the middle, the points are offset but seen in the view. If I pan to top right or bottom left the points are offset so much that I cant see them in that view.

I am using ImageJ 1.50g with Java 1.6.0_20 (64-bit). I would appreaciate any help or even workaround to solve this problem.'

Best regards,

Anders

Hi again guys,

I'm a bit embarrased and sorry, but I just downloaded the latest version ImageJ 1.50i with Java 1.8.0_77 (64-bit), and it does not appear to be a problem any more. I'm on Windows 10 by the way. However, it would be nice with any comments to what might have been the problem earlier, especially since I have all my macros adn plugins set up with my old ImageJ version.

Best,
Anders

Hi Anders,

ones.

The issue you were seeing was a regression introduced in v1.50d and
fixed in v1.50h, see http://imagej.net/notes.html :

 > Thanks to Mark Hiner, fixed a 1.50d regression that caused the
multi-point tool to not correctly place points on zoomed images.

Cheers,
Jan

PS: this is the commit that fixed it:
