Options for image capture directly into ImageJ

ijourneaux
I am looking for options for acquiring images directly into ImageJ (via Twain) using freeware options if possible. Some of the options I have seen are based on commercial image capture software.

Have you looked at the following Twain instructions on the ImageJ plugin
page?

He likely has, the required morena plugin in the "free" resp. trial form
only has limited "lifetime" (30 days) and one needs to buy a commercial
license later, so no freeware!

(I also stumbled upon this once)

It depends...
http://www.gnome.sk/Twain/jtp_try&buy.html

Free license :  This product is free of charge for personal or education use
(contact us for a free license file)

I requested a free license a couple of years ago and they very kindly provided
one.

Hello,

jtwain (jsane) is a freeware library and works fine for Windows and Linux.
I've integrated it in my application and i can transfer images from a scanner and a digital camera
to ImageJ.

With kind regards

Marcel

Hi Marcel,
Is there an example available to show how to do this?

Cheers

Unfortunately I don't believe I qualify for a free license. Although this is purely a research tool, and probably only for my use, we are a commercial entity so it would probably be a stretch to claim it is for personal use.

The image capture directly into ImageJ would simplify data processing so I am still looking for a freeware option for getting images directly into ImageJ.
