Out of memory question

Zachary Freyberg
Dear all,
I have been working with large data sets consisting of approximately
2000-2500 images acquired at 512x512 resolution. When using the latest
release of Fiji, on attempting to open the respective image series
consisting of one of these large data sets, I keep getting an out of
memory error. I've tried resetting the memory to 1600 but even still,
the program crashes and only opens around 400 out of the 2500 images.
Are there any recommendations? Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Zach Freyberg

Dear all,
Thank you for the advice regarding using a virtual stack after
selecting import image sequence. While this has allowed me to open all
2500 images in the stack, when I try to register them with Stackreg,
it again stops with the log saying that it is out of memory.
Similarly, I cannot do a plot Z-axis profile to look at intensity
measurements. This occurs despite my attempts at increasing the memory
allocation by increasing the memory to 1600. Is there a way to get out
of this memory limitation? Thank you again for your help.

Best,
