Overlaying a Stack

Nick Vitale
Hey ImageJ people, I've been trying to add a simple arrow using the arrow tool and overlaying the selection, however when I compress it to a movie the arrow does not show up? How do I get overlays to show up in my movies?

The File>Save As>AVI command in the 1.44b daily build preserves overlays.

Surprisingly I have the same problem too. I have saved my stack using
File>Save as>avi command but end up losing my overlaid stack.
I have also tried saving my stack as individual images and in these
individual images too have lost overlaid text.

However the Image>stacks>label works pretty well and text (time
values) is not lost when stack is converted to individual images or to
a movie.

Gaurav.

But the daily build does not work with Quicktime save.  Maybe we need a flatten command in teh Stacks/Label or allow the flatten command in Overlay to work with stacks?  Dave

There is an updated QuickTime_Plugins.jar at

    http://rsbweb.nih.gov/ij/plugins/movie-writer.html

that includes a QuickTime_Writer plugin (File>Save As>QuickTime Movie command) that preserves overlays.
