Packard InstantImager plugin available

George H. Silva
Hello all,

I created an ImageJ plugin that can open Packard InstantImager image files
(*.img). Hopefully I did not re-invent the wheel, but I searched the web
many times for such a utility and found nothing (not even file-format
specs). Is there a procedure somewhere for "officially" contributing plugins
to the ImageJ community? I looked all over the ImageJ website and could not
find anything - perhaps I missed some FAQ somewhere?

In any case, I uploaded the files/description/etc to:

http://www.brokensymmetry.com/ij_iireader.htm

Another quick question: There are a few existing plugins for which I have
modified the code to extend/enhance features (nothing too complex, but
perhaps useful). Should I contact the authors of those plugins directly or
is there a repository for such things?

George.---

Cropping a stack or multiple images?

Henry Barwood
I have sets of images that are of the same specimen, but cover slightly
different, overlapping, areas of the specimen. I would like to place a
smaller size image over a larger one, register the two images and then crop
away the excess from the larger image. Is there a simple way to do this?
Most of my images are simple 1-5 image sets that can be processed in pairs,
or converted into stacks.
