Pixel Normalisation - Need help

bmm7
Dear All,

I am trying to measure the lengths of objects along a path of a known distance. Each image is taken from a slightly different location (ie the pixels are different). There is a stack of images and I am forced to divide the "distance in pixels" by "known distance" for each image to normalise between the samples. It is very energy and time consuming. Is there an alternative method that i have overlooked? ImageJ should be able to do that automatically right?

Thanks in advance,

Hi anonymous,

is Analyze>Set Scale what you want?

http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/docs/guide/146-30.html#toc-Subsection-30.8

The scale applies to a whole stack, i.e., all images (slices) in the stack will have the same number of pixels per mm (or per µm, or whatever your sizes are).
