Plugin to Subtract Images?

SUBSCRIBE IMAGEJ Tanja M
Hello,

I am working a project where I have to compare/contrast the colour intensity between otherwise identical pixels from two images. Is there a plugin that will allow me to do this? Someone had mentioned a "subtract" plugin, but I have not been able to find this.

Any help would be great!

Tanja

Hi Tanja,

find this.

Press "L" to open the Command Finder <http://imagej.net/Command_Finder>.
You can then interactively search for commands.

You actually do not want the "Subtract" command here, as that subtracts a
fixed value from an image. Instead, use Image Calculator
<http://imagej.net/docs/guide/146-29.html#toc-Subsection-29.13> and select
the Subtract operation.

Hope that helps,
Mark

Thank you Mark,

That did work.
Now is it possible to have ImageJ do this for numerous images (a few hundred) automatically?

Kind regards,

Tanja

Indeed it is! I actually just recently made a Wiki page with instructions
on doing so: http://imagej.net/Batch_Processing

Please let me know if you run into problems using the techniques on that
page.
