Problem in thresholding an SEM image

soroush

Dear ImageJ users,

I have trouble in thresholding the attached SEM image. There is a shading like network which does not let me threshold the bright phase in the image (it is due to the material imaged and not microscopy). What I tried so far is background correction, shading corrector and high pass filter. Non worked. I appreciate any helpful comment. Thanks.

Run a median filter to reduce the noise and try the Auto Local Threshold.
plugin (you can dowload the jar from my page)
Try using the "try all" option. There are 2 or 3 of the methods that seem to
work quite well.

Cheers
