I'm looking for advice on how to get the QuickTime_Capture plugin to
work under Windows XP and ImageJ 1.35q. Here's what I've tried:
a. downloaded and installed QuickTime for Windows (v7.0.4)
b. moved the QTJava.zip file to the ImageJ\jre\lib\ext directory
c. added the classpath in b. to the ImageJ.cfg file
d. downloaded and moved QuickTime_Plugins.jar to the ImageJ\plugins
directory
e. downloaded and installed WinVDIG
f. restart the computer
This resulted in 3 new menu items under the File>Import menu
Using QuickTime...
Video
QuickTime Player...
When I then choose the File>Import>Video item, after a long pause I get
an error msg:
Plugin not found: QuickTime_Capture
I get the same msg if I use either of the other items in the File>Import
menu.
Next I downloaded and compiled QuickTime_Capture.java, which created the
class file in the plugins folder. After a restart of ImageJ, I still am
unable to import from a DV camera and get the same "Plugin not found:
QuickTime_Capture" error msg. Tried to use the QuickTime_Capture plugin
from the Plugins> menu, got same error msg.
Incidentally, the plugin (in the form of QuickTIme_Plugins.jar) works
fine on my Mac OS 10.4.5 system using the same camera.
Any thoughts on what else I can try?
Thanks.
