ROI Density and SNR

I'm new with ImageJ, where find examples for write a plug-in for do some specifics pixel analysis of a ROI ?

I'm planning plug-in for relative density of several ROI, SNR, "two wire" width in pixels, overshoot of high contrast edges, background noise and others CR X-Ray quality test.

For not reinvent the wheel, are some of this analysis available?
