Dear Wayne,
You may have not received the following message since I sent it directly to you instead of through the mailing list... You fixed a bug for ImageJ v1.37e which caused a ROI to lose its label name after it was modified with the shift or alt keys. It seems however that there is still a problem with ROIs keeping their label names after the ROI Manager and a saved ROI set are reopened. This only occurs with ROIs that have been modified using the shift key. The problem can be observed as follows: 1. Create an ROI 2. Modify it using the shift key 3. Add the ROI to the ROI Manager 4. Measure the ROI; the label is displayed properly 5. Save the ROI 6. Close the ROI Manager 7. Open the ROI Manager 8. Open the ROI that was saved 9. Measure the ROI; the label only shows the filename and not the name of the ROI I would greatly appreciate it if you could fix this bug. Hopefully it is an easy fix. Thank you Wayne. Hi,
I've followed step 1 to 9 to see if I get the same bug but for me it works fine. The label it displays is filename: regionname I'm using ImageJ v1.37g on a Windows XP pc. Have you updated ImageJ to version 1.37g yet? Or maybe you have a different OS. hmm.. yes, I do have 1.37g, and I'm running it on Windows XP. Perhaps the
problem is in something more specific that I'm doing. I can reproduce the error every time, even on different computers. If it makes any difference, I'm using the freehand selection tool, tracing an ROI, using the shift key to trace and add another region to the ROI, and adding it to the ROI manager with the "3" shortcut for "Add and Draw". I then save the ROI, close the ROI manager, revert the file, open the ROI, and measure it. I have my measurements set to measure only area and to display the label. I get only the filename in the label column of the results window. If you don't get the error, I'm confused. Hi,
You are right, I'm getting the same error. I misinterpreted one of your steps. I tried different selection tools and "Add" versus "Add and draw" (in my version "3" isn't the shortcut for Add and Draw), but the result was the same.
