RVG compressed files?

Hi,
Any radiologists in the list who can give us advice on how to open compressed
RVG files?

I believe they are some type of DICOM file, used in X-ray machines, but
Bioformats is not able to load them (complains that they are compressed) and I
do not know how to load these with the Tudor DICOM plugin.

I was hoping there was a plugin or similar (or even better a platform
independent solution), but I am guessing that this might not exist, as I am
reading now that this is a closed format by Kodak.

A happy update on this. I can confirm that Bioformats can read this files via
the Import command. Drag and Drop was being redirected to the DICOM Reader and
failing.
It takes some long time to process the files, but in the end it is successful.

Despite the claim in the net that these rvg files are closed format, it seems
that they might be just  DICOM files. The tags appear all there with the Show
Info command.
