Hi,
I use the excellent Spot cameras from Diagnostic instruments. (diaginc.com).
They are drivable from Applescript in OSX. Although the operation set
available is a bit basic, it is adequate for the automatic grabbing of
images.
They make monochrome and colour cameras. Some are firewire and some
dedicated card cameras, some are cooled and some are not.
The quality of the chip is also specifiable. Perfect chip=expensive.
We do automatic grabbing under control from ImageJ, by issuing Applescript
commands and process the images under control of ImageJ.
The company supports their products well, and they are responsive to
customer problems. And they do solve problems.
Best Regards
