You have three options: install Java 6 on your Yosemite machine [1], use
Java 8 by launching ImageJ from the command line [2], or install the
experimental ImageJ launcher which uses your system Java by default [3].
These problems will disappear later this summer when we update ImageJ to
use Java 8 by default.
