Re: TLC Methods and Profile Plots

Christian Beringer
Hello,

At first I have to admit, that I have also no idea how the Gel-Analyis function really works, but
I founded this documentation at "lukemiller.org":
http://lukemiller.org/index.php/2010/11/analyzing-gels-and-western-blots-with-image-j/

I am also working on a quantification method for TLC with ImageJ, in hope that it will bless our lab with a new method.
What are your experiences with calibration ? My first attemps with a dilution series of Glycin
resulted in a logarhitmical calibration curve with a correlation-coefficient of R²=0,98.
But I am waiting for the second experiment with the dilution series.

But the precision seems to be acceptable (about +/- 10%), because I am using manual
sample application with microcapillaries.
