Hi Stephan,
> it seems that texvc fell by the wayside
Thanks for reporting the problem. As Johannes said, it is "mostly" working
again now. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get AMS* style multi-line
LaTeX expressions working (i.e., with "\begin" and "\end"). We have all the
packages installed that are supposed to add AMS* support, but I'm still
seeing the errors even after appending "?action=purge" to the pages in
question. The Level Sets page doesn't use these, so looks fine, but
Integral Image Filters makes use of it in several places, all of which
currently give errors.
I even tried installing the texlive-full metapackage, which brings in a
truly astounding number of dependencies (see
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/texlive-full; it was 308 additional
packages beyond the usual TeXVC requirements). But even then, the equations
don't render. Unfortunately, I do not have time to debug into the problem
further right now. So you can either live with broken formulas until a
later date when we can spend more time trying to fix it, or you can split
up the formulas to not use \begin and \end blocks.
Sorry,
Curtis
