Rookie question

Dear ImageJ Users:

 

I have photographs of bobcat canines and am interested in measuring their
width at two distances from the crown using ImageJ. Photos contain multiple
canines and a single tape measure for scale. I can send an example image if
contacted directly. I have limited experience with ImageJ and was hoping
some of the more experienced users might be able to give me some ideas as to
how I could tackle this problem.

Hi Paul

You can try set scale and then use the line selection tools to measure the
distances.

It's Adam Z. I'm on the Image J list-serve and got your e-mail. I am by no
means proficient with Image J but I've used the program to measure the
length of things before, and you problem sounds similar. If you need
anymore help, let me know.
