Hi everyone,
I have images that were collected with a crude contraption attached to
a digital camera. It's a square of plastic fixed by an aluminum rod
to the tripod mount of the camera. Leaves at placed on the square and
imaged to measure leaf area. The pictures were meant to be taken
parallel to the lens of the camera at a fixed distance so the scale
would be constant across an image, and the same between images.
However, someone helping me frequently ignored this and would take
pictures when the device was on crooked. There are scale marks across
the left and bottom edge and using some assumptions it should be
possible to calculate a scale for each (x,y) position. It seems
straightforward enough to implement, but I was wondering if someone
knew of a better way to do this (I recall there being some function in
Matlab that could do things like this, but I don't recall what it was
or how it worked) or if someone knew of a ready-made plugin out there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Justin
