Scatter / Concentration Analysis

Hi,

First a background on my experiment:

I want to determine how well a mouse separates tissue paper from bedding material to create an optimal nest in which the tissue paper is concentrated in the the nest (for warmth). The bedding material can either be brown, blue, or green.

I want to use ImageJ to measure how scattered the tissue paper is throughout the nest. Obviously the higher the concentration (less scatter) would be a higher score vs. the opposite.

I've figured out the threshold settings to filter the tissue paper (white).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to measure the tissue paper concentration/scatter throughout the nest?
