Dear list--
I have a Scion 1394 firewire camera that worked perfectly under Windows
XP. Because of some problems automating back-up in XP, I decided to
upgrade to Windows 7 (32-bit). Based on available info, it looked
possible but would require using the firewire drivers from Windows
Vista. (See
http://micro-manager.org/wiki/ScionCam and
http://valelab.ucsf.edu/~nstuurman/Scion/Drivers/technical_note_2.htm )
I downgraded the firewire drivers to “1394 OHCI Compliant Host
controller (Legacy)” but the camera (...which indeed is plugged in to
the computer and the power light is on) doesn't show up in the device
manager. Neither does it show up using the "normal" firewire driver.
Upgrading the camera drivers becomes both moot and impossible.
Any suggestions?? I'd check with the vendor but they're out of business.
Thanks!
