Dear All,
I would like to be able to section a z series stack from a confocal microscope such that I see not only the position of the point of section (in xy view) but see the corresponding views on each side simultaneously. I have tried out the Volume Viewer which is very nice but it doesn't seem to be able to display the xz/xy views together with the xy. What I am trying to replicate a tool in the Leica SP2 software called Section View. It allows you to save a snapshot of the views together. If anyone can help me, it would be much appreciated. I'm happy to post an example (from the SP2) of what I am looking for if that helps to explain things better. Cheers, Jacqui. I know what you are referring to. It is possible to use
Image>Stacks>Reslice to present a "side view" of the edge revealed by a line traced on the image. I would imagine that it would be possible to draw one line, run a reslice, draw a line at right angles and do a second reslice. One could then rotate and place all three images in a new image frame so that they would duplicate the Leica display. This is cumbersome, but it might be possible to write a macro to do this. That said, I haven't had enough experience with macros yet to try it.
