Hi,
I've been trying to segment cortical bone from MRI images with a lot of other tissue. I've found the Connected Threshold Grower to be the most effective tool, but it still selects the other tissue even at threshold ranges when not all the bone is selected. I've tried enhancing the contrast, sharpening the image, smoothing/blurring the image but it's not really helping. Does anyone have any other ideas on distinguishing tissues?
I've begun moving towards manual segmentation after the applying the Grower but it is proving very tiresome filling in areas in the resulting binary image slices. Is there a way to scrub out regions across different slices in 3D mode and save the result as a stack?
