Hi there,
I was wondering if there was a way, to automatically, using a macro, select and measure areas of certain colours. However, I don't want to summate the areas.
For instance, if I used the magic wand tool, I can select the background of the image. Only highlights the area where that particular background color is continuous. Let us say I have a picture of a car mag wheel. The background colour is present around the mag wheel and in between the spokes. Is there any way I can measure the background area and the area in between the spokes simultaneously, but keep the measurements of those areas separate, even though they are the same colour?
Ideally I'd like to create a list of figures, for the background colour.
Eg. background colour around the car wheel - 133900 pixels
background colour between one spoke - 2400 pixels
background colour between the next spoke - 2400 pixels
and so on.
Currently all I have been able to do using macros is calculate the area of a specific RGB value. This gives me the total amount of pixels that are a specific colour but I want to separate out this total into the subsequent areas where it is located. Like how you can select one area with the magic wand but it doesn't select every pixel in the image that is that colour, it's localized.
I know it's a bit of an ask but I was jsut wondering if it was possible with imageJ
Ta,
Dave
