Setting a budget before playing online slots

Collins33
I’ve always told myself I’m good at controlling spending, but online slots tested that belief a bit. One weekend I sat down planning to play for 20 minutes, and suddenly two hours were gone. Nothing dramatic happened, but it made me think about budgeting more seriously. I’ve heard people say you should always set limits, but in reality it’s easy to ignore once you’re already playing. I’m wondering how strict others are with this. Do you actually stop when you hit your limit, or do you just hope things turn around?

What helped me was reading some practical advice on Slotwin about bankroll management, not in a preachy way but more like realistic reminders, and I started using fixed session budgets that I decide before logging in; sometimes I still want to push it, but having that number in mind makes it easier to step away without feeling annoyed or guilty afterward.

Just passing by and reading the comments here. Budgeting is something people struggle with everywhere, not only in gaming. It’s always interesting to see how different people build their own rules and habits around money and entertainment.
