Shifting away from terrible customer service bots and hidden transaction fees

I was trying to deposit some extra funds into my entertainment account last Sunday to catch the final odds on a major match, but the checkout system kept spitting out error codes and ended up charging my card twice without actually updating my digital balance. To make things even more infuriating, their automated live chat assistant just kept looping me through the same useless FAQ links for three hours straight without ever connecting me to a real human agent.
