In the built-in text editor the shortcut to
Macros → Enter Interactive Mode has been set to Ctrl-M The problem is that on my Norwegian keyboard (and probably other western European keyboard layouts as well) on Windows the key for µ (ansi micron symbol) is being typed as Alt Gr-M. Alt Gr is the same as Control Alt, so the text editor interprets any attempt on typing a micron letter in the macro editor on my keyboard is intercepted as being the Ctrl-M shortcut to interactive mode. So can the shortcut for interactive mode be removed or assigned something else (e.g. Control-Shift-I) ? Stein -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |

The latest daily build (1.52m21) removes the shortcut for the text editor’s Macros>Enter Interactive Mode command. It’s no longer needed now that we have the Plugins>Macros>Interactive Interpreter command, which has the “j” shortcut. There is no need for the control (command) modifier as long as “Require control (command) key for shortcuts” is not checked in the Edit>Options>Misc dialog. -wayne -- ImageJ mailing list: http://imagej.nih.gov/ij/list.html |
Thanks, works fine now.
I always have “Require control (command) key for shortcuts” checked to avoid accidental typing launching shortcuts. Also, then this option is checked, you have the benefit of being able to add most of the keyboard's letters as shortcuts to macros in the startup macro file.
