Simple neurite tracer versus skeletonize plugin

Hi,

I'm a new user in this field so maybe the answer is clear, but can someone
tell me what are the differences between using the skeletonize and the
'simple neurite tracer' plugin?

I would like to trace processes of a cell and analyze the total length of
the branches, number of branches, the area occupied by the branches (by
convex perimeter?) - so which plugin should I use?
