Hi Divakar,
You could use a batch renamer to rename your files to a more
computer-friendly order, such as A.001, A.010, A.100. Or you could try
Image5D (
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/image5d.html), or LOCI's
4D Data Browser (
http://loci.wisc.edu/software/), both of which
support virtual stacks (cached on disk). My group (LOCI) is currently
working on better support for virtual stacks, and we hope to provide
more polished tools along those lines soon.
