Stack animation between start and stop slice

Hello,

I would like to loop part of a stack as an animation. Did somebody write
a plugin/macro which allows for selecting a start and stop slice and
then loops the stack between these frames (in one direction or forward
and reverse)?

ImageJ 1.38q, due next week, adds "First Frame" and "Last Frame" fields
to the Image>Stacks>Animation Options dialog box. It also adds an
alt-backspace (alt+"\") shortcut for the Animation Options command.
