"Summary" vs "Summary of... " window

Claude Bonnard
Dear List Members,

I developped a little macro to simply count particles il groups of images, and
I rely on the "Summary" window which is generated by the the command
"Analyze..Analyze particle" (with the appropriate selection parameters).

To my surprise, the behaviour is very different in a MacOSX and in a Windows
environment: in Mac, the "Summary" window accumulates the results from several
analysis, reporting  slice name, count total Area, Average size and Area
fraction. Pretty nice to generate a spreadsheet for further use! In Windows,
however, a new window, entiteled "SUmmary of ...[name of the image]" is opened
at every command.

To your knowledge,
-Is there a way to reproduce Mac's behaviour on a PC?
-Is it possible to parameter the "Analzye Particles" for a different output?

Thanks for your help!

regards

Claude

Annotating printouts?

Joachim Wesner
Hi list,

I would find it very useful if a somewhat "configurable" annotation
mechanism would be possible when printing the graphics contents of a
window,

i.e. have a header with window name, file name, date, time etc.

So I don´t get confused any more what is what when I do some quick
printouts.....

is that/would that be possible?

Joachim

MATLAB .mat import/export

Joachim Wesner
Hi there,

does anybody know of or have a plugin that can export resp. import Matlab
.mat files?

I know that there is the possibility to call ImagJ from Matlab, but I´m
more interested in an offline solution that even works on a machine that
has no Matlab installed.

Thanx

Joachim
