I cannot get the SyncWindow to work with three stack and synchronizing
z-slices to work in 64bit mode ImageJ on Mac or PC. Seems to work in 32 bit mode. Is there a workaround? Thanks Frank |

There was a recent change in ImageJ, which prevents the Sync Win plugin from synchronizing. This has been fixed in Fiji (and consequently in ImageJA's 'fiji' branch). Ciao, Johannes |
Dear Johannes,
you are right, 32bit version is 1.4.3n, SyncWindows works 64bit version is 14.3q. SyncWindows does not work upgrade to 1.4.3.q on 32bit version: SyncWindows does not work anymore. So it is not a problem with 64bit, but with the ImageJ version. I hope a fix will be out soon. Especially since you chased people down the wrong track first. FWIW Wayne integrated my fix for this into the daily build. Ciao, Johannes |
Sorry, I did not want to be pushy at all!
I expected that a fix would not be too difficult since Fiji had a fix already. I was in the middle of a course teaching students how to use ImageJ and would had to switch to Fiji to demonstrate what great tool SyncWindows is. Now, with your and Waynes help, I could present the fix in the ImageJ daily built and could demonstrate a) the ImageJ users list, b) how to update a daily built c) till the participants what I great community the ImageJ provides d) tell the participants that another incarnation of ImageJ, Fiji, is there and it they should look at this too. Thanks again, Johannes and Wayne Best Frank On Feb 26, 2010, at 10:29 AM, Johannes Schindelin wrote: > Hi, > > On Fri, 26 Feb 2010, Frank Sprenger wrote: > >> you are right, 32bit version is 1.4.3n, SyncWindows works 64bit version >> is 14.3q. Especially since you chased people down the wrong track first. Sorry about that too, I did not realize, that ImageJ and ImageJ64 sitting in the same folder on my Mac, sharing the same plugins (like SyncWindows) would be running different ImageJ versions. I thought this would really bea likely problem that the 64bit version would have problems with some plugins and would behave different from the 32bit version. > > FWIW Wayne integrated my fix for this into the daily build. > > Ciao, > Johannes |
