Text image enhancement

Hello,

I'm very new to this program, plus my DSP skills are none. I got interested in image processing and hope that at same point I'll get more into

As for starter I have problem. I searched Google but without desired results. Problem is that I'm trying to preprocess low quality JPG image for OCR processing. Text is readable on screen but image quality is bad for any OCR engine.

I tried adjusting Threshold to gain some advantage, but result is even worse :D

Can someone point me in right direction here?
I could upload part of image as attachment, but not sure if it is allowed

First you need to choose a high performance image OCR reading tool which can ensure the high quality of decoded text and image; then you can use a compliant image or text reprocessing to deal with the not perfect extracted text or image. like despeckling, deskewing, hole punches removal, ect.

I'm not a developer, i always use the free online ocr to recognize and scan text from jpeg image. it's really very high accurate.
