Text tool issue

Gabriel Landini
Hi, not sure if this happens in all platforms, but when one clicks on the Text
Tool and then clicks on the image, the text box has no size, so typing the
first letter of the text does not appear, only when typing the 2nd letter the
two typed characters suddenly appear.
If one drags the text box (instead of clicking) then I can see that there was
an "Enter your text here..." message.
I think this is a bit unintuitive, it would be useful it by default the text
tool message was visible from the start so one sees straight away what is
being typed.
I am seeing this in linux, latest daily build, but hase been like this for a
long time.

Cheers

Gabriel

In the latest daily build (1.52h11), the text tool creates an "Enter text…" selection when you click (without dragging) on an image. Alt-click to get the old behavior (delete any existing selection).
