Thresholding, differences between Default mode and IsoData

José
Hi,

I have read (http://fiji.sc/Auto_Threshold#Default) that the Default mode
for thresholding is a variation of IsoData. Looking at the code I can see
that but what is the motivation for that variation? Could you describe the
variation?

José.

Hi José,
Some time ago, I believe the iso data method was mdofied slightly because some
images would not get thresholded correctly when the histograms (I think) were
very skewed. That is now the "default" method, which is slightly different to
the original iso-data method. Having both implemented allows you to choose
which one to apply, in case you have old code expecting the original approach.

Cheers

Gabriel
