TrackMate Exported Statistics

Olivier Burri
Dear TrackMate developers,

When exporting the data from a tracking as ImageJ Tables, a few questions arose that I could not find in the documentation

The TRACK_X_LOCATION (And Y and Z) represents the centroid of the track? Or does it represent the displacement vector of the track?

We're trying to see if spots are globally moving in a certain direction and wanted to average the displacement vectors for all detected trajectories.

However, the directionality does not seem to be a direct output from Trackmate. Should we go about this by using the individual spot statistics for each track to calculate this ourselves?

If we wanted this done, would we need to use the Matlab import function and calculate this ourselves?

Best

Oli

Hey there,
I haven't got an answer to your question, but I am trying to do something similar with TrackMate and am wondering if/how you managed to solve the problem?
