Unique imge ID

Dear fellows,

I need some help to write a macro.

In this macro, I open a ZVI format file (Zeiss Microscope) and ImageJ
can automatically open a couple of images  (different channels, DAPI,
Alexa 488 or 546). In the following operations, I need some function to
operate on channel DAPI, and some function to operate on Alexa 488. How
could I do it?

I read the document, and it seems to me that I can use unique image ID
and they are negative integer. Is channel 0 corresponding to -1, and
channel 1 to -2?
